If you use Photodex ProShow Gold or ProShow Producer to create your presentations and slideshows, adding the ProShow StylePack Volume 1 plug-in ($20, buy-only) will give you even more creative choices.

ProShow StylePack Volume 1 integrates into the Styles workspace of Photodex Producer or ProShow Gold, giving you new creative options and effects for your slide show.

As a plug-in, ProShow StylePack works from within the Photodex programs, installing 15 new slide style effects into ProShow Gold , and 25 into Producer . To use the new styles, first create your slide. Then, select Styles, where the new ones are integrated into the same familiar workspace as the styles that come with the program. Depending on the style you select, you'll have a number of options.

We found the ProShow Styles easy to use and quite effective. For instance, the Collage Scatter displays a jumble of photos that scatter about the screen, until one at a time, it reveals the pictures. Or, with the Picture Line, up to 10 pictures hang from a scrolling laundry line. Not all the styles are animated. Some, like the Infrared Camera (which simulates the high contrast look of infrared photography), apply a special effect to your slide. Or, like Art Gallery (which simply displays your picture in a typical gallery picture frame), they might provide an attractive setting.

If you use either ProShow Gold or Producer, ProShow StylePack 1 will add a bit of reasonably priced pizzazz to your slide shows.
